David Reeves has been a student in the percussive arts for over twenty years. Throughout his career, David has been involved with such notable groups as the Star of Indiana, the Santa Clara Vanguard, The Cavaliers and the Seattle Cascades Drum Corps. He is currently the arranger for the Troopers Drum Corps, the Center Grove High School Drumline, and he teaches the University of Washington Drumline.
His formal music studies took place at Indiana University and the University of Washington, and he's studied with such notable teachers as Gerald Carlyss, Thom Hannum, jazz legend Mel Brown, James Ancona, Tom Collier, and Seattle Symphony Timpanist Michael Cruso.His compositions and arrangements, some of which are available through Tapspace Publications, have been performed throughout the United States, Europe, and Japan.
David is an artist and clinician for Innovative Percussion and Pearl Drums. He resides in Seattle, WA with his wife Krista and their two sons Benjamin and Alden.
