Licensing Terms (EULA) for Tapspace products

At Tapspace, we take pride in being a fair, open-minded company who encourages creative thinking. We are, however, a small, niche-based business and depend upon our customers to maintain ethical standards in cooperating with our licensing terms. Without this cooperation, we simply won't be able to maintain the growing demands of our business. We have various licensing terms depending upon the product you are using. Please familiarize yourself with our terms on our licensing page. You earn extra karma points for telling your friends and making sure they play by the rules.

I have an APO/FPO address. Can I still order through you directly?

Yes. If you are ordering from Tapspace and have an overseas Military APO/FPO address, you can still purchase the products from us. Actually, shipping to an APO/FPO address is just like shipping within the U.S. In order to ship to an APO/FPO address, you must select a US Postal Service shipping method. UPS will not ship to an APO/FPO address.

Occasionally, these addresses may cause credit card verification errors upon checking out. If this happens and your order fails, we recommend you send your order to us via our secure FAX Order Form. Using this form, we can guarantee your order will be handled with the utmost care by a human who will respond to you once it's received and processed.

Kontakt Player isn't showing up in Finale or Sibelius

If you're trying to use Kontakt Player 2 as a VST or AU plugin within the Finale or Sibelius notation programs, but you're not seeing Kontakt Player 2 as an available option, it probably means the plugin wasn't properly installed in the exact location Finale or Sibelius looks for it. Fortunately, there is a quick fix for this.

WINDOWS USERS:

Locate the Kontakt Player 2 VST plugin file: KontaktPlayer2.dll. When you installed Kontakt Player, the default setting probably put this file in C:\Program Files\Native Instruments\Kontakt Player 2\VSTPlugins.
Festival Copies of Tapspace Scores

Most of our solo and ensemble works are great candidates for sanctioned competitions and festivals. Festival committees often require original reference scores of each piece they are adjudicating. Many such committees forbid participants from simply photocopying their score(s) and instead require them to provide up to three purchased copies of each piece in order to participate legitimately with it for the festival. This is in the interest of promoting ethical practices in the music publishing industry and thus supporting composers and arrangers who write good music—a worthy cause!

At Tapspace, we realize that purchasing multiple original copies of a piece in order to use it for a single contest or festival can be quite costly. In the interest of lessening that burden on our customers while still maintaining ethical standards, we can provide digital, watermarked copies of any piece that you wish to use for a festival. This "festival copy" also includes a signed letter of permission stating that the original work was obtained legally, and that the "festival copy" was also purchased legally from us for the singular purpose of participating in one festival event. This costs only $10 and is delivered electronically via email once your order has been processed.

If you need a "festival copy" of any of our pieces, please download our manual ordering form . (This form is also provided as an attachment below). It contains instructions on how to submit, and you should include the phrase "festival copy" in the product description box (as well as the title of the piece). Please also include the order number from your original purchase of the piece in question, or the name of the dealer you bought it from as well as the date of the purchase.

Please allow 24–48 business hours for the order to be processed. Once it has, you will receive an email containing a PDF of the festival copy. Questions regarding festival copies can be directed to us online via this contact form .

Thanks for your support, and good luck at the festival!
