Can I get the Cavaliers video lessons with Green Beats?

The short video lessons included with each Cavaliers Audition Packet is a feature exclusive to those products and is not available with Green Beats.

If you have Green Beats, you may, however, download each audio example (free) by clicking the "down arrow" next to each track in the Green Beats Player. Once you've downloaded the MP3 file, you are free to listen to it on your computer, iPod, or burn to disc.

Information about Sibelius 5.2 update

Recently, Sibelius released their update to version 5.2. Due to the way in which Sibelius 5.2 changes some of its sound set functionality, the current, 5.1 version of the VDL/Sibelius template� will not operate properly in Sibelius 5.2.

You may now download a VDL Template specifically for use in Sibelius 5.2 and view some tutorial videos at this location.

Is VDL compatible with "Sibelius First?"

Released in Summer 2008, Sibelius First is a scaled down version of Sibelius 5. While it provides a great way for people to get started with all Sibelius has to offer, it will not be a good choice for Virtual Drumline users.

It doesn't support custom percussion mappings that are important for VDL instruments to display properly in a score. Also, it doesn't support AU/VST (like Sibelius 5 does). This means that you wouldn't be able to run Virtual Drumline instruments as a plug-in directly inside of Sibelius.

If you're just getting started, and want to use Sibelius notation software with Virtual Drumline, the full version of Sibelius 5 is the way to go.

Installing VDL 2.5 on Leopard (Mac OS X 10.5)

Due to changes in how the new Macintosh operating system handles VIse, the VDL 2.5 installer included on the installation DVD doesn't work on Leopard. To remedy this, simply download this installer to install your software rather than using the one from your VDL DVD.

Download the�VDL Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard Installer here.
Run the installer.
Place the VDL 2.5 disk in your Mac's DVD drive.
Drag the three .nkx files from the DVD into your Virtual Drumline 2.5 folder as shown below. That's it!
