Due to the way in which Sibelius 5.2 changes some of its sound set functionality, the current, working version of the VDL/Sibelius template (compatible with Sibelius 5.1) will not operate properly.

For the time being, we are recommending Virtual Drumline users currently in progress with scores originating from the Sibelius 5.1/VDL template and sound set to remain with Sibelius version 5.1. We will be releasing a 5.2 template and accompanying sound sets for 5.1 and 5.2 compatibility in due course.

We thank you for your patience as we develop these updates for Sibelius 5.2.

This release of VDL 2.5.1 is a maintenance release which fixes several minor issues that were discovered after 2.5 shipped. This version is not required, but is highly recommended for best results.
