VDL
2.5 Installer
for Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) |
Virtual
Drumline 2.5 is compatible with Macintosh OS X 10.5 Leopard,
however the installer that came on your VDL DVD may not work
properly if you're doing a fresh installation of VDL. This
patch will install VDL 2.5 on Leopard without needing to download any
other patches from Native Instruments.
Installation steps:
1. Download the Leopard
installer and launch it to install VDL
and Kontakt Player2.
2. Drag
these three files (the three .nkx files pictured below) from
your VDL 2.5 DVD into your Virtual Drumline 2.5 folder.
Without these files in place, VDL will not work properly. That's
it!

Once
you've run the installer, simply drag the three .nkx
files from your VDL 2.5 DVD into the Virtual Drumline 2.5
library folder as shown here. |

This
update is only available to registered users of Virtual Drumline
2.5. The free download may be accessed by running Native Instruments
SERVICE CENTER program. Once you've logged into Service Center,
navigate to the Updates Manager as shown below.

This
is a free update of the instruments/multis for Virtual Drumline
2. This updater is primarily an efficiency “bug fix”
release. It will be of no use to you if you don’t already
have a licensed copy of VDL:2. In addition to the many fixes included
in the instruments, there are a few new features that we’ve
implemented that will give you more options such as:
- 2
new “Rack Combo” instruments
- Fully
sustained suspended cymbal rolls (with natural or muted
release)
- Improved
functionality when using in Kontakt 2
- Improved
usage of default polyphony settings
- Muted
glockenspiel control
- Many
minor fixes to several instruments

VDL:2
- KONTAKT PLAYER SOFTWARE 1.1.8.3 Update
This is a free update to the VDL:2 Kontakt Player software
which ships on your VDL:2 installer disk. It fixes a variety
of minor issues including AU validation for Mac OSX Tiger
users, and various features for ProTools RTAS users. The
software update is available for all registered VDL:2 users
by logging in to the Native Instruments website. To check
which version you're currently using, simply click the Kontakt
Player logo in Virtual Drumline 2.
Note:
this is only for VDL:2 users, and not VDL 2.5 which
uses Kontakt Player 2. |
