WHERE'S FLORES?
(downloadable)
Where's Flores? is
the latest drumline concoction from the innovative mind of Murray
Gusseck. Inspired
by various West African and Afro-Cuban styles, the piece is up,
down, and all-around outside the box. It's scored for a full
battery, including cymbals, as well as a solo tenor 'quinto'
player. The multiple layers of time create
a very demanding but groovy people mover. The
title points to funky bay area drummer, teacher, and recording
artist David Flores. The answer to the title's question is right here!
Watch for performances of Where's Flores this
summer in a parking lot near you.
This
piece can be purchased as a single-user license (drum
score only,d licensed to one user), or as an ensemble
set (score,
parts, license for ensemble usage). Also included in the ensemble
set is an optional part for cymbal line.
Included
in this downloadable zip file are the PDF file(s) of the sheet
music, the mp3 recording created with Virtual
Drumline, and a README file containing information on the
piece and licensing terms.
