Alan Miller

Alan Miller currently lives in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, where he works as a freelance arranger, clinician and adjudicator. He is currently the staff coordinator and front ensemble arranger for The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps. Alan has been teaching with The Cavaliers since 2002. In addition to his work with drum corps, he is involved in WGI as the front ensemble arranger for Gateway percussion. He has arranged for numerous high school marching bands throughout Texas and the United States.

Alan attended college at West Texas A & M University in Canyon, TX, where he studied percussion with Dr. Susan Tariq and conducting with Dr. Gary Garner. While living in West Texas, he was a nine-year member of the Amarillo Symphony Orchestra, where he served as principal percussionist and timpanist. While a student at WTAMU, Alan was awarded second place at Percussive Arts Society's international concerto competition.
