Eric Esquivel

Eric Esquivel is an educator and performer based in El Paso, Texas. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from The University of Texas at El Paso with a Bachelor’s in Music Education. Currently, Eric is the Assistant Band Director at Don Haskins PK-8 within the El Paso Independent School District. In his role, he oversees the percussion program, leads the newly formed second wind band, and teaches beginning band.

As a performer, Eric is a member of the Binational Symphony Orchestra, an ensemble that collaborates with professional ballet studios in the region. The orchestra, featuring musicians from both Mexico and the United States, highlights the rich cultural diversity of the El Paso border area. Additionally, Eric participates in the local jazz scene, occasionally performing on drumset at various live venues.

Eric’s professional affiliations include the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP) and the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA).
