Kylle Strunk

Kylle Strunk currently studies percussion performance and corporate communication at Idaho State University. He studies under recognized composer and performer Thom Hasenpflug. Kylle has written works for a variety of instruments and ensembles including: piano, violin, string quartet, steel pans, percussion, percussion ensemble, wind ensemble, jazz combo and big band, and symphony. In 2015 Kylle premiered a collaborative symphony at ISU. Other notable premieres include a performance of a steel pan chart with the ISU Percussion Ensemble and a marimba duet with his teacher and mentor, Thom Hasenpflug. Kylle Strunk took 2nd place in the Portland Percussion Group’s 2015-2016 ’Call for Scores’ for his piece Oaxacan Fantasy
