Riley Giese
Riley Giese is a marimbist, educator, and composer from Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Her interest in percussion began when she was in middle school, and she quickly gravitated towards marimba. Riley has helped teach percussionists in marching band classes for Rio Rancho Public Schools in hopes to help young percussionists on their musical journey. Riley believes that students should be able to play music they enjoy no matter what instruments they have available, so she focuses on composing for 4.3 octave instruments to help bring more accessibility to learning marimba.
