PAYMENT METHODS

 

Credit Card
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. Our website uses the latest standards in secure encryption for placing credit card orders. For security purposes, the billing address you use on our website must exactly match the address where your credit card statement is sent. If this information doesn't match, your order will be declined, usually due to an AVS (address verification service) mismatch. If this is the case, you may see a temporary/pending authorization on your credit card statement. You will not actually be charged for failed orders. Please read this FAQ for more information.


Paypal
If you select Paypal as your payment method, you will be brought to the Paypal website where you can complete your payment. Please note that PayPal orders generally take a little longer to process than credit card orders, particularly if they're e-checks. Once your payment is successfully completed, you'll receive an email notification from us stating that your order status has been changed to "processed."


Phone
If you request to pay by Phone Ordering, follow the order process online until you complete the order and arrive at the window which says, "Order Complete." Your order will be marked "queued." Take note of your ORDER ID, then call us toll free at 1-503-288-6080 to submit your credit card information. Please note that our office hours sometimes vary, but the best time to reach us is between 10:00am–6:00pm (PST) Mon/Wed/Fri. Alternatively, you can use our manual ordering form.

Money Order/Check (Mail in)
If you request to pay by Money Orders/Checks, follow the order process online until you complete the order and arrive at the window which says, "Order Complete." Your order will be marked "queued." Print your web order (or write down ORDER ID) and send it with your check/money order directly to us at the address below. Once your payment has cleared, we will mark your order as "processed" at which point you'll receive an email notification.

Fax Orders
In cases where you don't want to enter your credit card information on our website, we also accept credit card orders via fax, by using this FAX order form. Once you've downloaded the form, simply fill it out clearly, and fax it to our office at 1-503-288-6085. Fax order forms are promptly shredded once your transaction has shipped.

School Purchase Orders
School districts, schools, or music boosters are eligible to submit purchase orders. Please click here to learn more.

International Orders
If you are ordering from outside the United States and your country isn't supported by our website, you can order manually using our
manual ordering form.

 

SHIPMENTS AND DELIVERY TIME

Our shipping department ships from from Portland, Oregon, USA on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Orders received by 3pm PST on one of those days will typically go out the same day. If an order does not go out on the day on which it was placed, it will go out the following shipping day. Domestic orders will usually ship via USPS Priority Mail (2–3 business days) or UPS Ground (5–7 business days). International orders will default to USPS Express Mail International (3–5 business days) unless special arrangements are made.

We can usually accommodate manual requests for expedited delivery. If you'd like to expedite your shipping, please contact us directly at (503) 288-6080. Alternatively, you can use our manual ordering form.

Once your order has shipped, you should receive an email from us notifying you of the order status (and including any applicable tracking numbers). Bear in mind that it is possible for emails from us to wind up in your junk mail filter, so please be sure to "allow" emails from tapspace.com. You may also check on the status of your order by logging into your customer account on our webstore and clicking the "My Orders" link.

Orders for third-party products such as Sibelius, M-Audio keyboards, etc., may experience longer delays in shipment depending on available stock.

 

RETURNED SHIPMENTS

Shipments returned to us marked as "Undeliverable" will be held until the correct address information is provided. We will make reasonable attempts to contact you in this case, but ultimately it will be considered the buyer's responsibility to contact us in order to correct the faulty address information. A new shipping charge, along with a $10 handling fee, will be required for this secondary shipment. If the original shipment was returned due to an error on the part of Tapspace, no new charges or fees will be incurred, and the item(s) will be expedited to you as soon as correct address information is obtained.

 

RETURNS POLICY

 

Musical Instrument Products
We will accept returns for musical instrument products (e.g., Tap-Off, Rat-Pad, Keyboard controllers) provided that you contact us within 10 days of receiving the item to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). You will be required to ship the item back to us at your expense. Provided it is in "like new" condition, we will issue you a full refund (including the initial shipping charge). If the item shows signs of wear, the refund will be subject to a 9% restocking fee. Items returned to us without a Return Merchandise Authorization will not be refunded.


Print Music and Software
We do not accept returns on virtual instrument software or print music except in the rare case that your item was received damaged or is defective**. In this case, we will promptly replace it with the same item provided you contact us within 10 days of receiving the item to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). Items returned to us without a Return Merchandise Authorization will not be refunded. There are absolutely NO refunds for opened and/or registered software.

**Please note: Software is not deemed defective if you are simply experiencing technical difficulties in installing or using it. It is very important that you carefully read the system requirements before placing your order as we cannot accept returns on the basis of incompatible system specifications.


Downloadable Products
Due to the nature of our download delivery system, we are not able to provide refunds for downloadable merchandise. If you are having technical difficulties working with the file(s) you downloaded or haven't received your download key via email, we're happy to assist you in solving these issues. Please refer to our frequently asked questions pertaining to downloadable merchandise.




CANCELLATIONS

In the event that you need to cancel a recently placed order, contact us immediately by phone at (503) 288-6080. If the item has already shipped, you will be responsible for returning the item to us unopened before a refund will be issued. Refer to the "Returns Policy" above for more information.

Due to the nature of our download delivery system, we cannot accommodate cancellations for downloadable merchandise once the transaction has been processed. If you are having technical difficulties working with the .zip file you downloaded or haven't received your download key via email, we're happy to assist you in solving these issues. Please refer to our frequently asked questions pertaining to downloadable merchandise.

PRIVACY STATEMENT

We will not rent or sell your name, address, email address, credit card information, or personal information to any third party without your permission. However, we must cooperate fully should a situation arise where we are required by law or legal process to provide information about a customer. If you have purchased from our store or subscribed to one of our newsletters, we may occasionally update you via e-mail of special opportunities. We may also contact you if you have entered one of our contests or sweepstakes. If you choose not to receive updates when you enter a contest or sweepstakes, it will not affect your chances of winning.
